John William “Will” Slusher is the founder and managing attorney of Slusher Law Firm, PSC. Will started Slusher Law Firm after spending two years working as an Attorney Advisor for the United States Department of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review at the Atlanta Immigration Court in Atlanta, Georgia. While working as an Attorney Advisor at the Atlanta Immigration Court, Will assisted the Immigration Judges at the Immigration Court on complex issues in immigration law and drafted written orders in removal and deportation proceedings. His experience at the Atlanta Immigration Court provided him with extensive experience in immigration law. At the conclusion of his Honors Program term, Will decided to apply the knowledge he gained to open Slusher Law Firm to help immigrants receive benefits that they are eligible for, defend immigrants against removal and deportation, and assist employers with their immigration needs.
Will was born and grew up in Harlan, Kentucky and then attended the University of Kentucky in the Lewis Honors College. Upon graduation, he was accepted into the University of Virginia School of Law and received a top legal education in Charlottesville, Virginia. While in law school, Will participated in the Immigration Law Clinic with the Legal Aid Justice Center in Charlottesville. As part of the Immigration Law Clinic, he helped represent immigrants in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court. After graduating law school, Will moved to the Washington, DC area, where he served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable E. Gregory Wells of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. He was then accepted into the United States Department of Justice Honors Program, at which point he spent two years working at the Atlanta Immigration Court.
